The internet has a wealth of knowledge on bike repair, there’s lots of great videos, documents and other resources out there to help you complete your own repairs. Many bike problems can be easily addressed with some basic tools and knowledge. If you have some basic tools at home you may be able to save a trip to the shop, but if you’re missing a tool, that’s exactly what our DIY time is for.

We will continue to upload our own How To videos here from time to time in case they can be helpful!

A few resources we like to refer to

Sheldon Brown - Perhaps the greatest resource on the entire interweb when it comes to text insight into old bikes systems such as internal hubs, tire sizes, brakes and deraileurs. No fancy videos and the webpage looks like it is from the windows 98 era, that’s because it is!

Park Tool - The majority of tools in are shop are made by Park Tool. As one of the largest bike specific tool companies they also provide excellent how to for how to use their tools properly. These resources are great if you feel like you may be in a bit over your head when it comes to a repair. Detailed high quality videos and Calvin’s moustache can’t be beat!

Shimano - Shimano keeps all their technical documents in one place here. These manuals are intended for advanced mechanics but may be helpful if you find yourself in a jam with an expensive Shimano component.
